Confessions of a Big Thinker

Hi my name is Deremiah *CPE and I’m going to continue to share with you about how I came into the understanding of the power of Thinking Big. Every since I was a little boy I’ve always had these Big Ideas and this notion that life revolves around something Great. It seemed to me that whenever you saw a big effect that the ideas leading to that effect were founded in Big idea thinking. No matter what I seemed to get involved in I would eventually get to a place where the manifestation of what I was doing would culminate into something big.

As I begin to play sports the same thing would happen to me over and over again. I would see the end result of where I wanted to end up and ultimately that would happen. I’d start off playing on an average Baseball team and before the season was over I won a spot on the All Star Team. As a Junior High School football player I came into the pre season fourth string and alternating but by the time we got to the first game I would be the starting Linebacker and alternating Fullback. Eventually I got to the point where whatever I would imagine for myself would eventually happen except for when it came to getting a date…LOL.

So year after year sport after sport getting the Big end result would happen for me regardless of what sport I played until one day I had this major set back and I ended up in a place I didn’t want to be. One thing I didn’t know way back then but I eventually learned over time is that I got what I was afraid of. It took me some years to be able to see that my little thinking brought forth some poor results for me. After a few years I finally got back into my success groove and things changed.

One day I came across this audio product by Brian Tracy on Thinking Big and it really opened up my understanding. I began to realize that there were reasons why I had the successes I had as a child and as a teen age athlete. These events were not the result of chance but they came about because I had learned to develop a Thinking Big attitude as described by Brian. I was fortunate to have met Brian Tracy that evening at the Peak Performers event in Chicago. Since I was working with the Peak Performers group I was fortunate to have the opportunity to talk to Brian after the event was over and everyone was gone. In my one on one time Brain Tracy really communicated some sound ideas to me, that made it easy to see that there were a lot of things I needed to be taking action on.

After receiving his audio product “Thinking Big” I left inspired and on fire for doing something Great. When I finally got home with the product I spent the next week listening and re-listening to the product over and over again until it was like I was giving the presentation instead of Brian Tracy. I eventually became one with the ideas in the product and what began to happen after that is nothing shy of a miracle. I was working three jobs after I received a commission check from my primary job to the tune of $14.95 and I thought to myself no way am I going to be able to support myself on this and that’s when I went and got two more jobs. Sooo I pulled out the Thinking Big audio product…dusted it off and began to scour over it for small clues that could help me see what steps I needed to take differently. I began to listen over and over until my mind was clear about what my true potential was in this current situation. I went from that $14.95 commission check that month to a $10,000 commission check in one month a year later. I eventually crossed over the dividing line where little ideas and small thinking meet Thinking Big and I’ve never looked back.

What I learned for myself was that all of our failures in life are the result of not understanding how to get clear so that we can take action in a very Big Way. That big way requires Thinking Big. The other thing I learned was that there were multiple intelligences that we could develop that would enhance our ability to be more successful as we moved forward towards our objectives. If you don’t get anything else you have to get how important it is for us to have the mental competencies that are necessary to Think Bigger than we’ve ever thought before. Your key to success is how quick you can get clear enough to Think Big and in ways that you’ve never thought before now. This is Deremiah *CPE and if I can do it I’m sure you can.

Why Thinking Big Matters?

History would lead us to believe that thinking has always been at the apex of our world. Where ever we review the Success of Women or Men we find those successes pointing back to how the individual thought about what they wanted to achieve. If we see small thinking…at the end of those thoughts we find small results. But if we see Thinking Big at the end of those thoughts we find BIG RESULTS. In other words small results are the by product of small thinking and Big results are the by product of THINKING BIG. One things for sure the bigger we think the far more greater our ideas expand.

Edison chose to IMAGINE a place where hundreds of scientist could explore the relentless idea’s of a man who had an insatiable curiosity…and at the end of that dream we find no small thinking going on at the —Idea Factory— in Menlo Park. The discoveries that were uncovered there were the results of THINKING BIG. They were so big that it was said that one third of the economy during Edison’s time was said to have been created from an idea inspired by him.

Now let me say this…I am in no way insinuating that Thomas Alva Edison did not have any challenges bringing forth his ideas which were the results of THINKING BIG. But one thing I know for sure and that is Edison’s BIG THINKING did not allow him to imagine his CHALLENGES to be Greater than his dreams of accomplishing what he had envisioned.

So how can you incorporate the art of THINKING BIG in your life like Thomas Edison? or will you let small idea’s tell you what to do for the rest of your days on earth? What if you continue to use small thinking to try to bring your Big Idea’s into existence? Will you ever live to see the real potential you have been given from birth? Or will you continue to stumble through life not clearly seeing that your real problem is…the fear of Thinking BIG. What would or could you accomplish if you actually chose to THINK BIGGER than you’ve ever thought before? Yes it’s your time to THINK BIG and finally get the results you DeSERVE to have but only you can make that happen. Are you ready to THINK BIG because I THINK it’s your TIME to start THINKING BIG.

How to Think Big

Thinking Big with Deremiah *CPE

Most poor results attained by those who strive for success occur as a result of the failure to Think Big. Being from Chicago I am reminded of the words of Daniel Hudson Burham, the American Architect for the World Faire whose maxim “Think Big” was at the foundation of all his pursuits he said, “Make no little plans; they have no magic to stir men’s blood…. Make big plans… aim high in hope and work.”

These are great words that have the foundational architecture to build any structural idea upon.  Burham understood that GREAT DREAMS are forged in the fires of Big Thoughts.  How many times have we attempted to do something BIG that we knew was going to take every bit of gumption, courage and audacity we had to make it happen but then we chose small words as our means to communicate this GREAT IDEA.  That’s like having the guts to dream that you’re going to build a raging Bonfire but then you go out and the biggest piece of wood you gather is as small as kindling.  Thinking Big does require having the guts to ACT BIG.  You can’t have what you desire until you’re at least ready to ACT as BIG as you’re THINKING.

Many people have the opportunity to go to the next level in their own success but very few end up doing just that.  Burham went beyond having an opportunity to live his dreams.  He understood that the bigger the challenge the BIGGER the Opportunity. The bigger the DREAM the harder one has to grapple and to Imagine the possible solutions that will solve the problem.  Now this is where we begin to see the true vision of  what we desire to see happen.  This whole website is dedicated to Thinking Big…and Thinking Big will take you much farther than thinking small. So now that you’ve heard all this…what are you going to do? You know you’ve been working on GREAT IDEA, a DREAM YOU BELIEVE in…well I know what I’m going to do.  I’m going to THINK BIGGER than I’ve ever thought before.  Won’t you join me right now.
